Confirmation at SJVSJV Confirmation preparation is a 2-year program, usually initiated in the 7th grade, completed in the 8th grade. We feature the One Eight program, from the publishers of Life Teen.
Our program includes:- A relevant, engaging, and relationship-building approach to learning the Catholic faith, and sacrament preparation.
- Sound and accurate Church teaching.
- Large and small group interactions that challenge teenagers to reach new spiritual depth.
- A variety of prayer opportunities taken from the rich tradition of the Catholic Church Community Service offerings.
- Special retreat experiences.
- In-depth instruction on Catholic Saints, with an opportunity to learn about and share a favorite saint.
- Must have received 1st Eucharist before entering this program.
- All youth grade 7th or higher are welcome.
- Meets on Thursdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Sponsor Qualification
- Be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Be a Catholic who has been confirmed and has received the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist
- If married, must be married in the Catholic Church
- Be leading a life in harmony with the faith and role to be undertaken
- Not be bound by any canonical penalty
- Not be the mother or father of the one to be baptized. (Canon 874.2)
